My mission is to help you dive
head first into the World of VR Flight
Here is why I am so passionate about VR Flight. Here is why I believe VR Flight can help you. To get started, I wanted to tell you a quick story.
It was a hot summer day, the sky was clear, birds were chirping and I was a kid playing by the lake. It couldn't get better then that... Or could it. As I was outside, all of a sudden I remember hearing a plane approaching. It was getting closer and closer. I was looking around but couldn't find it. My Excitement was building. When I finally saw it, I was over the top with excitement, as it was a sea plane coming in to land on the lake.
Too me this was the most amazing thing to witness. As the plane came down onto the lake, the pontoons touched and you could hear the rumbling of the engine. At this point I was hooked. Even to this day, when I hear a plane coming in for a landing, I am always mesmerized by the site. I end up going into to dream mode, where I wish I was up there.
After all of these years, I am finally doing something about it. I am getting my pilots licence. There is no time like the present.
At this point, I now work full time and have many other responsibilities. I knew that it would not be easy to get my pilots licence, but I wasn't going to let time and money get in my way.
I started to do my flight lessons and soon realised that between my lessons I was stale, and didn't perform all the maneuvers as good as I wanted to. Sometimes it would be two weeks or even a month between a flight. This was much too much time between flights, but I was still determined to get my licence. I had to find a solution.
It came to me, I had played around with flight sims for a long time but never had taken them seriously. So I ended up getting myself a serious computer, and some flight controls.
I was now able to practice flying without any issue. It was amazing to have some way to keep up my skills between flights. Instead of having to book a flight, I could jump on my computer for an hour and practice what I was taught.
There was still something missing.
This is what brought me to my favorite discovery. Virtual Reality Flight. Once I figured out that this was possible, I needed to have this. It was the missing piece to the puzzle. I could now have a way to visually fly, just like I do in my lessons.
Before I got VR, I was struggling to land the plane, as I was missing so many elements of flight. I had no depth perception, I couldn't look out my window to spot the runway over my shoulder, I wasn't able to properly check for traffic when I came onto the runway. The list went on and on.
Now I feel so much more confident when I go up for my flights. Even when I have large gaps where I am not flying.
My goal is to help you learn how amazing VR flight is. Come join me on this amazing journey.
