The Carenado Cessna CT210M Centurion II Review

June 9, 2018 by Dan Leave a Comment

Going into the Cessna CT210M Centurion II (affiliate link) is a nice progression if you are coming from the Cessna 172.

It adds a bit more complexity to flying as you now have to deal with a bigger plane with more complex systems such as landing gear and Cowl Flaps.

Besides this, the aircraft is fast and can go high. It is a definitely a great aircraft to further your flight sim experience.

If you love Cessna aircraft, then you will love this one.

The Carenado – CT210M Centurion II for X-Plane 11  has new “State-of-the-art configurable FPS-friendly logic system” which will allow your system to run smooth.

I was running this in VR and was able to maintain 45 fps with a 1060 6GB which is below the recommended GPU.

VR Compatible

Speaking of VR, it works great in virtual reality and seems to be completely compatible. Carenado says that it is “largely VR compatible”. I was able to manipulate the plane and operate the plane in the same manor as the standard X-Plane 11 Cessna 172. Overall it was a great experience in VR.

Appearance

The exterior and interior of the plane looks amazing.  If you take a look at the video I posted above, you will notice that the plane has a very realistic shine and texture as you move around the plane.

Features

You end up getting 5 HD liveries and 1 HD blank texture, the Autopilot KFC225 Manual PDF, the Recommended Settings XPLANE 11 PDF, Normal and Emergency Procedures, Performance tables PDF and a Quick reference table PDF. Essentially you get everything you need to get started and to look good doing it.

Recommended Computer

Lastly, they recommend running this with at least an Intel Core i5 6600k at 3.5 ghz or faster for the CPU and at least a GTX 1070 or better for the graphics card.

These settings will ensure you get the best experience possible… however I was able to run this on a 1060 6GB with a i5-7600k. I am not saying that you should try this, as you may not get the same experience. You would be best to have at least the minimum recommended computer to try this plane.

Where can you get the Plane?

I have included a link to the FS Pilot Shop. I have had a good experience working with FSPilotShop and have no problems recommending them.

Carenado – CT210M Centurion II for X-Plane 11  is where you can find this plane for purchase.

Please note that the above link is an affiliate link, which means that I earn a small commission if you purchase after using my link.  This will not affect your purchase or price in anyway. I only recommend products that I love. This is one that I have used and I love. If you use the link I really appreciate it, as it will help me to keep producing great content for you.

Hope you enjoy and give this aircraft a try.

Keep flying!
Dan
