So there is a new flight simulator coming out soon. This is Deadstick, by REMEX Software Ltd! It is going to be focused on a different breed of pilot that has no interest in progressing into a airline. It’s focus is completely on flying a bush plane. I love the idea of this sim as it will be an action packed fun filled sim to play. At least that is the way it looks.
Deadstick is scheduled to be released in late 2018, which is exciting news. If you are interested in Deadstick, take a look at there website, http://deadsticksimulator.com/ or check it out on Steam, which appears to have the most up to date information .
Do I think it will replace the average sim out there? No, I don’t think it will replace the other sims, as this is a completely different beast. It is going to be more of an experience with a built in purpose for flying. It may even have a bit of a “game” feel to the experience by the looks of it. I hate the word “game”, as I know this sim is much more then a game and from what I have read, it will be delivering a very realistic flight model with realistic weather.
What About VR?
Well, I did some digging and found that deadstick plans to implement VR into Deadstick. In fact, they mention this right in their early access information which I have included below. So, we can rest assured that they are looking at implementing it.
“Early access gives us the opportunity to expand on the foundations of Deadstick and engage with the community to develop some of the more complex and ambitious features. Our shortlist of things to add before we exit Early Access are as follows:
- Additional aircraft.
- Multiplayer & shared cockpit.
- VR support.

Want to See the Game Play?
It may not be the best video of the game, as it is being filmed with a camera, however it really shows you what the game will be like when it comes out.
As I am sure you can expect, this will be something that I will be following as I love the idea of flying a bush plane in VR. It won’t be where I spend all of my time, however I can guarantee that I will be getting this when it comes out for early access.
If you are interested in following this, please subscribe to my email list below and I will keep you posted with any new information I learn about Deadstick. This will include reviews of the sim (in VR), once I have access to it.
Thanks for reading,
Have an awesome day and keep flying!
